Ibtisam Mistry Shafi has been working with the Firm since 1999 as a Legal Assistant. Mrs. Shafi meets with clients; collects, examines, and organizes evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation; researches regulations, laws, and legal articles; researches and compiles information that helps strengthen a case; provides general administrative assistance; maintenance of a case log and/or file for reference; preparing legal briefs; investigates case facts to ensure the consideration of all relevant information; identifies appropriate materials for assigned cases; develops written statements, also translates Urdu documents in to English. Issuing company Payroll and maintain company accounts and issuing checks to Immigration Services.
Mrs. Shafi have been assisting the firm with the processing of the following types of cases:
- I-130, I-485 and DS260 Consular Process (Family-based green card process)
- B-2 (Nonimmigrant Visa extend application)
- DACA (I-821D) (Deferred Action for individuals who entered the United States prior to/continuous residence since June 15, 2007, and before the age of 16)
- I-601 and I-601A (Requests for waivers due to inadmissibility to the United States)
- I-751 (Removal of Conditions on marriage-based adjustment of status applications)
- I-360 (Battered Spouse)
- Employment (I-140) which includes the work (I-765) and travel (I-131) documents
